About Me
I am a licensed clinical therapist with a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Hendrix College and a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Arkansas. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including a junior high and high school, hospice care facility, college therapy center, and a hospital ER. Issues I typically address in therapy include depression and anxiety, grief and loss, life changes/transitions, family conflict, women’s issues, and chronic illness. My approach is non-judgmental, collaborative, and kind. My interventions are tailored to individual needs but always build from a genuine and trusting therapeutic connection. My goal is to provide a supportive space for self-exploration and positive change in order to help clients and families experience more meaningful and fulfilling relationships with one another and internally. I tend to work from a strengths-based perspective, helping clients not only identify new strengths but also build from the positive qualities they already have. Ultimately, I focus on wholeness, self-understanding, self-acceptance, authenticity, and resilience. I try to help clients not only relieve current symptoms but also develop tools to combat negative self talk and recurrence of adverse patterns. I especially enjoy working with young adults in order to encourage self-acceptance and emotional resiliency that can be utilized throughout their lives.
